Wingman is an Israeli dating app that digitizes the timeless "I know someone for you" matchmaking model. Instead of swiping through endless profiles alone, users rely on Wings — trusted friends who browse, vote, and approve matches on their behalf. The concept is simple: the people who know you best are better at finding your match than any algorithm.
Every match requires a Wing's approval before a conversation can begin, creating a layer of social accountability that traditional dating apps lack. The app also features "Spot The Bot," a gamified trust exercise where users must identify fake profiles hidden among real ones. Wingman launched on March 18, 2026 in Israel, built in Tel Aviv by a solo developer with a mission to bring trust back to online dating.
